Welcome to Barbara Pension on Amorgos

Pension Barbara is situated in Amorgos island, just 80 m. from the picturesque Katapola port. This traditional cycladic style building lies in a quiet alley, close to the central market. We meet our customers at the port upon arrangement.

The complex comprises of 4 apartments, 2 of which are on the ground floor. The other 2 are on the first floor, a typical sample of the cycladic architecture.

The 2 apartments on the ground floor have an equipped kitchen and bathroom. They are suitable for a couple with 1 child. They have a yard decorated with many flowers and they can enjoy a quiet breakfast and more. On the first floor there is a double room with a complete kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony with a view of the square of Katapola and the port, and a triple room that also has a view of the port and the garden.

The pension is very comfortable. It is close to the port, restaurants, rental cars and a special bakery for breakfast. The staff is really kind and available for every needs. The room was very cozy, clean and we had a wonderful balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. Linen change was perfect. We strongly recommend it !! Sabrina & Michele

"Simple and elegant"

We were a couple staying at Barbara for four evenings and really enjoyed our stay here. The room is clean, simple and elegant. It has everything you need. Located right in the center of Katapola and is a 20-30 min walking distance to the beach. There is wifi but it is quite weak.

Warm welcome at the ferry arrival. The apartment is few meters away from the port and the taverns. nice terrace and view. clean and size is OK for a family of 4.

Pension Barbara was a neat and tidy accommodation in a good location about 100 yards from the seafront and port. The room was adequate size, bright and airy with a window above the bed & French windows leading to a balcony. The owner Barbara ran a laundry service close by and thus was always on hand if required.

On a very quiet street, close to the docks and everything else. Had everything we needed for the two nights we stayed, no complaints at all.

Stopped in Barbara pension for a few nights with my family (21-52). Our first time in Amorgos and it was wonderful! The apartment was very clean, had good wifi and was situated perfectly (only a 2/3 minute walk to the harbour front). Barbara herself was lovely; very friendly and helpful. She had given us some of the local Amorgos rakimelo to try and was full of useful information. The beaches weren't great to say the least but a great place to stop over for a few nights between island hopping. Very beautiful town (Katapoula), lots of restaurants on the harbour front. A mixture of more expensive restaurants for the yachting community who moor there, as well as traditional Greek restaurants and cute dessert places. Would definitely stay here again.
