Pension Barbara

A really great pension in Katapola - a minute's walk to the restaurants of the harbour area, 10 minutes to go around the bay to even more great food and 30 minutes (or a quick boat ride) to the amazing Maltezi beach. Barbara was incredibly friendly and everything was as we expected - comfortable and clean. Recommended!

We made the best decision by booking Barbara Studios for our vacations at Amorgos. The position is excellent, right next to the Katapola main road and port with all the tavernas and restaurants, but at the same time it is very quiet and well sheltered from the traffic. The appartment was very beautiful and tastely decorated, and the bathroom was spotless, excellent. One of the best things about Barbara Studios was how clean it was, honestly super clean, with daily cleaning and change of towels. Furthermore, the appartment had an awesome balcony, overlooking Katapola and the bay, where we could have breakfast, relax and enjoy the Aegean breeze.

Barbara picked us up at arrival and guided us to the place. Overall, very friendly and accommodating! Fresh, clean, cozy room and atrium. Greek feeling at its best! Got even a gift related to the island.

We were a couple staying at Barbara for four evenings and really enjoyed our stay here. The room is clean, simple and elegant. It has everything you need. Located right in the center of Katapola and is a 20-30 min walking distance to the beach. There is wifi but it is quite weak.

Good location, quaiet place, Barbara very nice and carefully.

Η διαμονή μας στην πανσιόν Βαρβάρα ήταν από τις καλύτερες εμπειρίες στο είδος. Το δωμάτιο πολυ περιποιημένο, καθαρό καθημερινά, και με όλες τις ανέσεις. Η τοποθεσία εξαιρετική μιας και η χώρα γι αυτούς που θέλουν περισσότερες επιλογές απέχει μόνο 6 χλμ. Η κυρία Βαρβάρα είναι ιδιαίτερα ευγενική και πρόθυμη να βοηθήσει σε όλα, έχοντας ένα κανατακι ρακόμελο στο δωμάτιο για να μας καλωσορίσει. Η τιμή πολύ λογική! Θα το συστηναμε ανεπιφύλακτα σε όλους! :)

Stopped in Barbara pension for a few nights with my family (21-52). Our first time in Amorgos and it was wonderful! The apartment was very clean, had good wifi and was situated perfectly (only a 2/3 minute walk to the harbour front). Barbara herself was lovely; very friendly and helpful. She had given us some of the local Amorgos rakimelo to try and was full of useful information. The beaches weren't great to say the least but a great place to stop over for a few nights between island hopping. Very beautiful town (Katapoula), lots of restaurants on the harbour front. A mixture of more expensive restaurants for the yachting community who moor there, as well as traditional Greek restaurants and cute dessert places. Would definitely stay here again.

The pension is very comfortable. It is close to the port, restaurants, rental cars and a special bakery for breakfast. The staff is really kind and available for every needs. The room was very cozy, clean and we had a wonderful balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. Linen change was perfect. We strongly recommend it !! Sabrina & Michele

Location was great, really close to Katapola restaurants and harbour but in a quiet side street with nice views from the apartment and small separate balcony. Very clean, immaculately decorated, comfortable apartment. Very friendly owners who met us at the port and also run a business down the street. One of the nicest small apartments we’ve stayed in in Greece.
